Live Entertainment
Concerts at Rotary Park are held each Thursday evening throughout the summer.  These concerts are free and food and beverages are available from 7 to 9 p.m.  Bring your lawn chairs down to Rotary Waterfront Park and enjoy the tranquility of the river and live musical entertainment.  Concert schedule is at www.jeffersonlivemusic.com.

Farmer’s Market
The Jefferson Farmer’s Market is held every Thursday (11 am-6 pm) in the parking lot on the corner of E. Racine & Center Streets.  For more information contact the Market Manager at famersmarket@jeffersonwis.com.

Car Show/Swap Meet
The Madison Classics Spring and Fall Car Shows are held at the Jefferson County Fair Park and draw thousands of car enthusiasts.  These are usually held the last full weekend in April and the last full weekend in September, respectively.  For car buffs, these shows have everything – from the hard to find parts to refurbished cars.  Sunday is the day owners bring in their beautiful show cars.  For more information, go to www.madisonclassics.com.

County Fair
The Jefferson County Fair is a five-day fair held every July and features fabulous rides, free grandstand shows and all the great 4-H projects that make a county fair special.  Jefferson County has updated the park facilities over the years allowing events to be held year-round including; antique auctions, flea markets, horse shows, home shows and much more.  Camping facilities are available.  For a calendar of events go to: www.jeffersoncountyfairpark.com or call 920-674-7149.

Take a Kid Fishing Day
The Kiwanis Club of Jefferson and the Department of Natural Resources host the “take a kid fishing day” the first Saturday in June.  Boys & Girls are encouraged to spend the day fishing with their parents or area fisherman.  Equipment is available for use.  Free bait is provided, and prizes are awarded after the weigh in at 3 pm.  This is also a DNR free weekend, no license required.

Cultural
Gemuetlichkeit Days is a three-day event held on the second weekend after Labor Day.  Young and old residents dress in traditional German costume and participate in contests for all ages throughout the weekend.  Enjoy music and dancing, good food, fellowship and a huge parade on Sunday.  Everyone is German for the weekend!  More information can be found at www.gdays.org.

Parade of Lights & Santa House
Beautiful floats decorated with hundreds of lights are entered in this annual parade held the first Saturday in December.  Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, we invite you to join in the holiday spirit for the city tree lighting, the arrival of Santa and the opening of Santa’s House.
